February 2,2020 Ellen Muriel Elizabeth Brink (table 22) née Peithmann died

On February 2nd, 2020, Ellen Muriel Elizabeth Brink née Peithmann died at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon, Illinois, USA. 18 days later she could have celebrated her 96th birthday.  Muriel was the youngest child of William George Peithmann and his first wife Mary Alma Haun (table 22).

She grew up on her parents‘ farm in Richview/Illinois. She studied and became a teacher. Muriel always loved teaching.  In 1946 she married Arthur Wesley Brink. They were a perfectly matched couple who lived in Belleville/Illinois. They had one son Richard called Rick. Wesley died in 2007. Rick and his wife Lisandra lived close to Muriel so that she could enjoy her two pretty granddaughters. The family visited Muriel regularly in her retirement home. She enjoyed seeing them all and getting to know her two lovely greatgrand-daughters. The whole family will miss her.

Muriel was buried at North Prairie Cemetery where so many Peithmanns and Peithmann descendants have found their eternal rest. Here is a photo which shows some of the relatives who came to the funeral:

The Peit-h-mann Family Association regrets the death of Muriel Brink who had contributed very much to our research on the American branch of the family and who kept us updated on developments there as long as she was able to write. We thank her for her efforts, and we feel with her dear family.
